last week of the semester!

I went to Utah on Tuesday to visit Annie! It was sooo much fun, I really wish I could go back though. I really missed her and one day wasn't long enough to catch up on stuff. After I got back I had to clean up and pack. It wasn't all that bad to get ready to leave, then again I didn't get much sleep on Thursday night (right before I had to drive home to CA). It was worth it though, I had alot of fun with my roommates and friends before I left:)
Well the drive home didn't go very well either. Normally it's only 12 or 13 hours. We left at 11:30am, so I thought we'd be back around midnight. Nope!
I was dropping someon off in American Fork, that went well. And I had another passenger going all the way to Apple Valley with me and was caravaning with someone else (If you don't know what caravanning is its just keeping an eye out for another car, stopping together for gas or food or whatever). The girl was driving alone and I think she was probably getting really tired, we were in Ceder City when we notice that her car spins out. She swerved onto the center divider and when she hit the rumble strips she overcorrected and her car started spinning. So we stopped to make sure she was fine. But we never even got to talk to her because there were police and an ambulence. (By the way, the accident was pretty bad, she totaled her car. But luckily no one else was involved in the accident). So then we followed the ambulence to the hospital and waited there for a couple hours. Her brother called me and he lives about an hour away from Ceder so when he got there and told us she's fine we left. But it was already about 9:00pm when we left the hospital. We were really tired and there was no way we would be able to drive another 5 hours after that.
So the other person going to CA, had friends in St. George and we stayed the night there. We woke up this morning and left at 10:00am and kept driving until we were almost to Apple Valley, but when we got to Lenwood (a half an hour from my home) my car just stopped. So obviously I pull over to the right shoulder of the freeway. Daniel and I both call our parents since we were so close to home. My mom has triple A, so they tow my car home, but it takes them forever just to answer the phone and it takes even longer for them to get the tow truck there. Then finally at 3:00 the truck gets there, we tow the car to my uncle's home until we can figure out what to do next. But it ended up that he started looking at it then. So I was in Apple Valley at his house for four hours before I was even able to go to my own house! (Which is good he checked it, but at the same time I just wanted to get home). He checked everything that could be wrong and it wasn't the battery, alternater, or starter... It might be the fuel filter or fuel pump. He isn't sure yet, I don't even know how he can tell...
So I guess it was a good thing that I caravanned with that one person and a good thing that the person canceled on me Thursday. I'm kinda irritated that my car is still having problems but now I have someone who I actually trust looking at it:)
I'm glad to be home, just mad that it took me forever. I've missed this place so much! I'm really tired now and am glad to be able to sleep in my own bed again! haha!

So today my roommates and I started talking about blogs, so they talked me into getting my own blog. We also made a group blog together so we can keep in touch. This is our last week of the semester. We're really busy but still having fun. I'm glad to stay in touch, I won't see most of them for a long time. I'll see Chantal next semester though:) We're still rooming together again. And in winter I'll hopefully room with April and Amy!
Well it's bitter-sweet to leave for the summer because it seems like the semester just began. Although I'm more excited to finally see my friends and family back in CA. I'll be there for 7 weeks so I'll have a nice long time there!
I've been working on a research paper for my english class and it's due on monday... I'm really nervous to turn that in, I feel like I'm doing an awesome job on it, but my teacher is a strict grader. The paper is about the best family structures for children. So it's been really fun to look up all the info.
Hi this is my new blog:)
